Prof. Mohammed JK Bashir from Central Queensland University, Australia, presented "Recent Advances in the Determination and Treatment of Emerging Contaminants in Water Systems," offering in-depth insights into scientific approaches for addressing emerging water pollutants.
Prof. Ulrike Gayh of SRH University, Germany, delivered a compelling talk titled "Innovative Approaches to Water Quality Monitoring: Integrating Technology, Community Engagement, and Data Science," highlighting the importance of a multidimensional integration of technology in enhancing water quality assessment.
Prof. Syed Abdul Rehman Khan from Xuzhou University of Technology, China, focused on peri-urban environmental issues with his speech "Dealing with Peri-urban Environmental Challenges: Thinking Practical Solutions for Sustainability," providing practical strategies for regional environmental management.
In addition, outstanding early-career researchers from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences contributed oral presentations.
(1) Yunfei Liu shared his research on "Artificial Intelligence (AI) Applications and Future Prospects in Environmental Remediation," showcasing the promising role of AI technologies in environmental governance.
(2) Yiyun Zhang presented "Utilizing Mathematical Models to Explore Strategies for Mitigating Light Pollution," exploring effective theoretical and practical solutions to control light pollution.
